When using Sound editor, I want to take out a section of the clip. I can high light it and delete it fine but when I play the clip back it pauses completely at that place for a half a second and then goes on. Why does it do that. I have used Roxio 7 and it did not do that. It makes me mad that it will not work. Any help will be appreciated.

Look down near the bottom of the page by Mix Editor and you should see a command to join clips.

Sound editor in V8 and V9 is very much different from the one in V7. I know it took me a long time to get used to the "new" one. The image is from V9 but i think it is the same in V8.
