I am sure a patch will be available soon. "John @ Roxio" has posted a few comments that indicate a patch will be available soon.
Forget about Vista.... I have a few issues under XP I am hoping will be resolved with the update/patch.

So do I, but hopefully it will square away the problems with Vista.

What is it you have to keep explaining again?
Belated Happy Birthday to you. But next time, if you want more gifts, you might want to give us a bit more notice.
Virtual beer on the way.

May's a great month. Mine's the 27th. If the patch isn't out by then, a few guys here will probably threaten lawsuit while I will just have one beer for each year.

Your political statement doesn't belong in these forums. You may want to edit that portion out.
If you read John's post, then you can understand that the 9.1 patch isn't ready today.

But Silver was just questioning the fact that EMC9.0 was released listing Vista as a compatible.

5th line down.
If it installs, it's supported.

9.0 was Vista ready, we tested it with the betas and after finding issues, both us and MS worked to fix them. Then the day Vista was released to the public MS released a patch that changed some things in the OS. This caused some problems in our software.
Then we decided that Vista ready wasnt good enough, we wanted to be "Vista Certified" so we went through the entire official process.
Now that we are Vista Certified we just need to issue a patch to update the older versions of EMC 9 to the Vista Certified version. There is nothing complex or secretive about what happened. It is business as usual in the sofware industry.
