[font=Arial][size=5[i]The difficulty I am having is - when I attempt to fire up EMC 9, the programme attempts to reload itself,
which is rather annoying ! the programme came to me pre loaded on a new computer, so I have no original disk !

Any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated .....

Not sure about the watered down EMC 9 program that came loaded on your new computer but if it's running VISTA, You are most likely having some problems based on just that fact. The full Roxio EMC 9 is in some instances having a few problems also with Vista. But I hear that soon there is to be an update to fix some of the problems that occur with Vista. The fact that you have an HP loaded EMC 9, I'm not sure that when the update comes out that it will work with the HP 9. Best to check with HP support and see if when any updates come out for EMC 9 if thir version will work also.

In the mean time you might want to check with HP support also to see if they have an EMC 9 program disk that they can send you and try unloading and re-installing the program. It's nice if you have an actual disc for that purpose. Is there someplace on the HD that has all the programing etc. that came on the computer. If so, you might be able to re-install it from there. If I know HP though, they probably onlt have a "RESTORE" disc that you can use to put the computer back in the original condition it was when you bought it new.
