emc 9 installation

when i try to install emc 9 it uninstalls previous versions until it gets to sonic activation module which
will not unistall. if i try to bypass and say no to uninstall i get to where i must enter mu activation key and it is unacceppted

any ideas???

EMC9 is the first one to use activation so the problem is almost certainly left over bits of the original install which will have to be removed

Check this kb article on clean installation
