Hope someone can help.

I have been having the "Invalid CD Key" message when trying to install EMC9 on my new laptop so I came to this forum to find out a fix
While I did find a fix on a pinned topic on the opening page to the Installation forum, when I went to download the ZIP file my CPU detected a virus and warned me not to download it.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Toby

It's a false positive - some AV programs are detecting it as a Trojan because it makes a change to the registry

Disable the AV long enough to download and run and then re-enable it again
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Are you sure?  I am running a State CPU and I would hate to crash it.  Could cost me my job!

I'm sure - check other posts on the same subject.

It will delete certain registry entries that are connected with the error and, because it does that, it gets classed as a Trojan

I just want to download the zip and save the .exe file to a flash drive to run on a CPU that is not hooked up to the internet

I don't want to run the registry deletion on this machine

Thanx

Honestly - that's the fix for the CD key problem. It is NOT a Trojan, it's safe to use - it ONLY targets the entries that are causing the problem
