MyDVD9 is EMC9.
It's just the DVD authoring component of EMC9.
If it installs, it's supported.

There are two MyDVD 9 versions: Studio and Studio Premier. Looks like only the 2nd one has the burning capability. Which one do you have?

Hang on, I went to that link and I don't see "burn from an image file" listed for either one.

Wait, this other page for Studio version says about burning (5th bullet). Is there any icon on the interface that says "Burn" or anything from the menu bar?

Well, you mentioned you were able to create an image file from your first post above from the software. Burning a video onto DVD requires a disc image (ISO or video-folder set).
Anything from the menu bar or any icon that says Burn or Copy?
Sorry, I don't have either version, only the full Suite (EMC9). Just trying to lead you to look at the icons or menus.

Yes, I've looked at the menu. There is a burn icon. it gives no option to burn from an image, only from a project.

It sounds odd that the software will let you create an image file but no functionality to burn from it as the source.
As Beerman indicated in his post, you can use ImgBurn, among others, to burn the image file.
PS: Thank you Paul for the suggestion.

The advise to create an image file first (if possible) is to avoid doing the rendering again if the burn ("write") part fails. If you have the image file, you can use this file over and over again to burn onto DVD.

The suggestion to create the image and burn from the image was suggested when you have EMC 9 -- As in the entire suite. This is because there is a utility inside of EMC 9 called "Disc Copier", which allows you to copy an image to a disk. MyDVD 9 will not do this, as it is DVD authoring software.
