Hi Guys,
I am still a newbie with this VideoWave software. Before, I always use Windows Movie Maker to create my movie clip. Lately, when I decide to make my first DVD project, I found that WMM can't give me MPEG-2 output which I need for my DVD. So I decide to use this roxio video wave and this VW has more features than WMM. I love it.
But, there are few things that I could do easily in WMM that I don't know how to do it in WV. I am pretty sure this can be achieved in Video Wave with different way.
Could someone tell me how to do these things in VW ?
1. In WMM, to get a smooth transition between 2 clips we can drag the second clip on top of the first clip. Can we do this in VideoWave ?
2. In WMM, we have a video effect called "fade in from black", do we have such a thing in Video Wave ?
3. Can we do blue screen or chroma ?
Thanks in advance.

1) Two sections of videos will automatically add to each other in VW. You may want to add a transition to go from one scene to a different one.
2) Put a back color panel and then use the fade transition to go to where you want to.
3) Yes, using the overlay track. Add the first image to the main track, then add the overlay. Double click on the overlay to get the options.

Thanks heaps, that should do it.
With the overlay, we can only have 1 ? Any tricks to have it more than 1 ? I want to make a video like in the 24 series, 4 movie split on 1 screen.
Also can we create our own transition or video effects ? I see there is a custom transition section but nothing in it.

Depends on what version you have - in V9, there can be as many as 5. That differs with version and "subversion"
I don't remember the custom transitions but I don't think it can be done.

I found my old V8 Deluxe box and it says 32 tracks. I don't know how many of them are overlays. Since the OP only needed 4, I mentioned an extra one for good measure.

sknis, here is a previous post you made regarding the count.
http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?...ost&p=27024
In that post, you said and I quote:
"I counted the tracks and found all 32 -
In "Normal" : Main Video, Native audio, 5 text tracks, 5 overlay tracks, 2 FX tracks, Music Track, Narration Track, and sound effects. =17
Internal tracks: 5 text tracks, 5 overlay tracks, 2 FX tracks, Music track, Narration track and sound track = 15"
