When i click on create dvd in video section. It says the following codec must be activated before using the application.  Mpeg-2

When you click on yes it than says no permission- bad installation

What do i need to do to fix this problem.

I have windows Vista

Disable any firewall that may be running and check this thread

There have been many similar posts made regarding mpeg-2 activation problems and there have been quite a few different ways that users have found to get it activated. And some never have. Many times it has to do with exactly what each of the users are running on their computers as far as the operating system, security programs and other incidentals.

I have had the exact same problem and after playing around with the EMC program (and I don't mean uninstalling and re-installing) I have finally been able to get a completed activation.(Running XP/SP2 and IE6). Another thing you might try is calling 877-627-6619 and see if they can help.
