I have a Sony Handycam and have recorded home videos of my kids which I'd like to convert to MPEG for easy transfer. After copying th VIDEO_TS/<abc>.VOB file to my computer and loading it into CRUNCH it seems to complete the conversion but hangs at the end.
Points to note -
1. the handycam is a Sony DCR-DVD 703E which records to mini DVD discs
2. the VIDEO_TS/VOB files seem to include multiple recording segments in one file. In other words when I originally recorded the movies - there were segments 1.a (a 3 minute segment) ; 1.b (a 34 second segment) and 1.c (a 5 minute segment). These are all collected into one view the VOB file.
THanks for any information that you can provide.

Are you using the VIDEO_TS setting in Crunch?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Crunch is not designed for DVD-VR discs. Using Toast would be the better choice for this.
