Corrupt Installation?

Hi - can anyone help me please with the following problem -
Everytime I try to open EMC9 it goes into install. I can use individual features if I by-pass the main screen. However if I try to use the main screen, usually by use of the icon on my desktop, it just run the re-install and the only way to stop it is by using task manager. un-installing and then re-installing does not solve the problem. I am running a Packard Bell IMedia MC2470 with Windows XP Media Centre Edition, 1gb memory, NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE graphics and Pentium D dual core. EMC9 was installed from legit. purchaced CD's.
Any advice would be welcome unsure.gif

I'll have to say do a clean install using the knowledgebase article here (http://kb.roxio.com/...eator/000086CR)

Be sure to follow it step for step, and if you run into problems, don't skip the step. Instead, post back here and we'll do what we can to walk you through it.
