I just got the Roxio 8 program and I'm having difficulty previewing anything. I have figured out how to add photos and music and have read the tutorial.  Why can't I preview it?  Do I need to upgrade my video card?

Well, it would be a good idea to tell us what program, in the suite, you are using.  Then, list your system specs, similar to how I have mine listed in my signature.

Thanks for your patience!

I'm trying to create a slideshow w/ edited tracks (I've figured out the sound editor just fine!) .  Whether I use VideoWave OR the Slideshow Assistant, I cannot preview what I've done.  It just hangs or shows a black box.  I can play the audio -- but no slideshow.  I downloaded the DirectX video driver upgrade this morning, but still no luck.

My computer is:
HP w/ 3200 AMD Anthion XP Processor
512 MB PC2700 DDR memory
160 GB 7200 RPM Ultra DMA hard drive
DVD & RW/CD-RW 8x DVD + R/RW drive w/ CD writer capabilities
CD-ROM Drive 48x max speed
Integrated graphics w/ 64MB shared video memory
Processor Speed 2.20 GHz
512 KB
1.2 Cache
400 MHz Front side bus
9-in-1 media card reader

Thanks for any help!!!

Yes your problem is your Graphics adapter. being an onboard one, it probably doesn't meet the minimum specs. You could try looking for an updated driver for it. Or get an actual video card. If you listed what it is btw, someone may be able to give a better suggestoin.

With 64MB shared, that video chip won't work at all.  You need to get a dedicated video card.
