Capturing Video and Audio From Camcorder

I am able to capture video from a camcorder using media manager but there is no audio being captured. Are there any tricks that I should be aware of.

Can't using USB; you must use fire wire. Also you should be using Media Import.

If you want a better answer, post a more complete question.
