Setting Burner Speed to Match Media

I have some Dual layer media from Fuji Film taht is spec-ed to 2.4x.  The software will only allow me to burn at 4x.  I am getting verification errors.  What do you suggest?

Use DVDInfo Pro under EMC 9 tools and look at a disc like below. Then post the info. We want to see the 'Available Write Descriptors' for the media.

You shouldn't be ABLE to try to burn 2.4x rated media at 4x. The drive firmware is supposed to limit speed to the maximum rate of the media.

If it isn't doing that, cut the speed down to the rated speed of the disc.

Also, check for a firmware update for your drive - that can have an effect as well

Your assuming the drive, firmware, and the media are never at fault. I have seen all three be wrong one time or another.

Oh I agree - any of the three could be the problem but as the OP hasn't come back to say what the drive is and what the firmware rev is, we're just guessing
