Here is one that does not make sense. If bring up Easy Media Home for Creator 9 it says it has an update for My Backup My PC 2006 for an update for Easy Media Creator 9.1. Why is Roxio making a update for a version that apparently is not selling retail. Is the new download version 9.1? By the way it doesn't install on my retail version.

What version of BUMP do you have? Mine says 705B20B and, as you say, there are no updates available for that one.

Do you perhaps have an older version still lurking on the machine?

I don't think that BUMP is an install option if you installed EMC on Vista. You only get Roxio backup.I don't know if this update installs BUMP on Vista or not.
If you have 9.1 installed on XP then this update may apply.I'll try and get some more answers.

I installed a brand new store version of Easy Media Creator from Staples in March and there is no other Roxio/Sonic software on a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium.

Like I said BUMP was not an install option in Vista so it can't be updated.I'm still trying to find out what this is for.It may be tomorrow before we get a response.
Another thing is if you bought the suite back in March you most likely don't have V9.1 as it just came out within the last week.Open Creator Classic, got to help and see what the version is.I'll bet it's 9.0 something. There is an update coming to update that verion to 9.1.When,I don't know but we just have to wait like everyone else.

By the way the version number is 9.0.088. I wonder if Roxio has a couple of different builds in retail and entirely different one for downloads?

I tried running this in Vista with V9.1 and it added BUMP to my machine. It created a seperate Sonic listing in All Programs for BUMP 7.

BTW,you have the version before 9.1.If you have it running on Vista and it's working I wouldn't mess with it.9.1 is the first version that was certified Vista compatible. There is an update for 9.0 that is coming that will update it to 9.1.I would imagine after that is applied you will then be able to apply the BUMP update.
What this update does for people running 9.1 under XP I have no idea.I'm still running 9.0 under XP.
