Using MYDVD in EMC7.5. Want to burn two avi files with total running time 2hrs20min (1:10 each) and roughly total 6GB. Since it exceeds capacity of disc, I planned to create an .iso image on HD and THEN use Disc Copier to burn the .iso file to a disc. However, as I was importing finished .iso to disc copier to burn, I noticed that 2nd title was only partial (50 min)..just enough that total running time of both was 2hrs. I could have sworn that I have used this method before successfully. Did I miss something here? As always, thank you for your feedback and direction.

First, it is DVD Builder, not MyDVD.  Second, you are correct.  All versions of Roxio, starting with the 7.1.1.189 update for EMC 7, cut off anything after 2 hours, when burning to an .ISO file.  Idiotic, to say the least, but it is fact. sad.gif

EMC 9 will let you create a Folder Set over 2 hours, which you can burn to a DVD, using Disc Copier.
Life is good!

Thank you, Bruce! I usually use my "newer" pc with EMC 9.0 to do all my dvd work, incl the " .iso over 2 hrs" process. However, today I was using the "older" pc with 7.5 installed and never gave it a thought that the 7.5 is less flexible than the 9.0 with respect to that particular issue.

Speaking of 9.0, can I trouble you for another assist. Again, on 9.0, how do I disable the program that when I open roxio, throws up a dialogue box indicating that my nvidia card could be outdated and prompts me to have it check for me? What is the executable that I should disable from my startup? Thank you.

Have you checked for updates?

I kept getting that message for my ATI card.   I went to the ATI site and darned if there wasn't an update for it.

Once I downloaded and installed the update, the message went away.  ( I hate it when programs are smarter than I am.)
