I just burned a data DVD-R disk using Classic Creator, there were a few sessions. After all looked ok, I then wanted to finalize it. So I went to Creator Home 9 main area and clicked on Tools and then clicked on Finalize Disc. Creator Home crashed, the DVD-R was ok. To close the Disc I had to use Classic and Import, then chose Burn with Make Read Only checked. It finalized the DVD-R OK!
What I like to know, why when I used the Finalize Disc in Creator Home crashed, is this not functional???

I am not sure, but I think when you burn the last data session, you have to pick Read Only in the burn options.
Someone else will come by and correct me, if I am wrong.
Life is good!

Hi,
It is possible to just finalize a CD/DVD-R in Creator Classic. Just import the data as usual from the disc, click on burn, then click on Make Read Only.
But my concern was using the Creator Home Page, TOOLS, FINALIZE DISC. This didn't work, and wonder why. Was it because there is a bug the application, or using this is for another burn method used???

"It is possible to just finalize a CD/DVD-R in Creator Classic. Just import the data as usual from the disc, click on burn, then click on Make Read Only." ----YES
Added information from the help files in Creator Classic might help explain the "Finalize Disc" task.

Thanks RedWagon for the reply, and yes I was aware of the added help info you refer to. The DVD is a R and it was data files. So, the question still remains, why am unable to finalize using the feature in Tools as mentioned above???
