Is this possible, and how would I do it?
Sorry if I don't know the correct technical words, but here goes.
Setting the Scene- this is what I have just now
Menu 1 (First Play) It contains a text similar to Copying of this DVD is not allowed etc. etc.
It is timed to stay on the screen for some seconds then it links to Menu 2
Menu 2 is the main menu. From here viewers can select further menus and videos etc.
All works correctly.
Except.............. If I use the remote controller on a DVD player and press "MENU" it (of course) goes back to the first play menu.
Is there a way I can have Menu 1 play on the first loading of the DVD......... but when a viewer uses the remote to go to "MENU" then it will select Menu2 - the main menu?
Like what I now have as menu 1 will play the timed sequence then when it jumps to Menu 2 - Menu 2 will act as a first play menu?
Did I explain that in an understandable fashion..... or did I just confuse you???
Regards,
Douglas

I posted the below reply on your similar post on the Creative Cow forum:
I've used "first play" videos in most of my DVDs without any problem. The difference is that you used a "menu" as your first play which is why the remote returns to it when you choose "menu." To avoid this, in your NLE make a video of the warning you want to display and make it the length you want it to remain on screen. Then in DVDit select it as your "first play video".

One way to do it is add the "2nd menu" first. add all the video/audio. When you click on the menu button, the dvd will return to "2nd menu". When you get it working, the add the "1st menu". Make it the first play. have it default to the "2nd menu"

Sounds like what you are trying to do is an 'intro' like the FBI warning on commercial DVDs. These are actually just MPG files like any other movie. I haven't tried it in DVDit. I'll have to check into that later.
