I purchsed a new HP a1700n Pavillion inFeb. 07 and everything worked well until I tried to instal Nero 7. Now my PC says it can not recognize my CD Burner. The drive doesn't even show up in My Computer as a drive; it is as if it is gone. I tried a few things that HP suggested with no luck. I need someone to help me get my drive back. I also have the Media Creator 9 from Roxio which was preinstalled. I bought this PC as a floor model since it was the only one left at Best Buy and didn't get any software or manuals with it. I thought this would be no problem; boy was I wrong!
Does any one have any idea how to fix this problem?
I would really appreciate some help!

If you installed Nero fully you've probably also installed InCD. This is a packet writing program which will clash with Drag to Disc in the Roxio suite.

No two packet writing programs can co-exist on the same computer and one will have to be removed (actually considering the reliability of any packet writing program, take both of them off)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
