I have a Panasonic DVR with a DVD output. I have some clips on the DVR I would like saved on my PC hard disk as .AVI files. The only thing I can think of is to create a DVD on the DVR and somehow convert each chapter to a .AVI file using Roxio 9.

I tried following the instructions on page 216 of the manual. As a test, I inserted a DVD with one chapter that I previously created using Roxio. When I looked at it in Creator Classic, I see several IFO, VOB, and BUP files. How do I know which ones to pick so I will end up with a video file with the audio track intact? Any other suggestions on how to do this?

You can bring them into VideoWave and output them as .AVI. When you add them to VideoWave, you will get a popup showing all of the .VOB's. You can add them all.

What is the reason that you want to do convert the video compliant files to an .avi?
