I've had my LG 4163B drive for a while and NEVER encountered a problem until trying to use a dual-layer disc.
I'm trying to burn an ISO image to a DL disc, and as soon as I click burn, roxio complains that it has encountered a problem writing the disc.
I even tried extracting the ISO and burning the files but again, same error message.
My next thought was to try and upgrade the firmware (from a102 to a105) and this made the problem even worse! Now when I press burn it instantly errors unlike before I upgraded the firmware, it would try and burn the disc (noise from drive and flashing light) for about 30 seconds and then throw up the error.
System Specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon x64 3800+
1GB RAM
250 GB Hard Drive
Geforce 7600 GT Video Display
LG-GSA-4163B DVD RW
Thanks people.

This is more likely a DVD brand issue with the burner and not the software. Go to LG's support website and see if they have a list of DVD brands that they recommend or have tested.
Phenom X4 965 3.4Ghz, 4gig DDR3, LG 47" 3D TV, Hitachi 1TB HD, Seagate 500GB, LiteOn iHBS112 Bluray, TSSTCorp SH-222A DVD, ATI HD3300 IGP, VIA HiDef audio with Logitech Z5500 THX certified 5.1 speakers, Epson 4490 scanner, Canon 9000Pro MarkII printer, Sharp AL1551CS laser printer/copier, Sony TRV740 8mm digital, Canon HV20 HDV camcorder and Fuji S7000 for still photos, Win7 Home Premium
