MyDVD was not there after I reinstalled Roxio Creator & MyDVD 9.0 DE (from Dell). My OS is Windows Vista basic. Does anybody have any idea how I can get this feature to install again. Right now I cannot use this software to work with/burn DVDs. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but as I enter the installation setup a window pops up with this message:

Reinstall again, but turn off any anti-virus software, and turn off windows defender while you do it.

I still haven't been able to reinstall the myDVD portion of Roxio Creator & MyDVD 9.0 DE. Does anybody have a suggestion on what I should try to do?

I am having the same problem. I have gone through the clean install steps and was able to load the Roxio Creator software but not MyDVD. There has to be someone at Roxio who can help but I can't seem to get any answers.

I have similar problem. I just restored back (under "system restore") to the restore point before I unistalled EMC, and MyDVD reappeared. But I have another problem, I can't use it because the codec (MPEG2) can't be activated. Very frustrating!
