Hi. I had been using Roxio 6 to burn DVDs with a 8x max. speed, but since the disc speed max for blank DVDs is now 16x, I've noticed that the 16x won't work with Roxio 6.
I thought the problem was that Roxio 6 is outdated and can't accomodate the discs, but I've just upgraded to Roxio 9 and have the same problem. Please help!

More than likely it has to do with your burner.Is your burner even capable of 16x?If so try updating the firmware and see if that works.

Open DVDInfo Pro in EMC 9 tools, place a blank DVD disc in the burner. Below is what you look for, the first is a 12x burner. The bottom one is a 16x burner. The Available Write Descriptor is what to look for. I'm using a verbatim 16x +R disc in both below.
