I have been using EMC 9 for a while now. BackupMyPC is installed as part of EMC 9.
A few weeks ago, I pulled down the 7.1.0 update for BackupMyPC.
I finally got around to installing it.
First it says that it has to un-install the previous version, which is does. Then it installs
the 7.1.0 version.
After the install is complete, I am not able to run BackupMyPC at all.
It complains about the digital certificates being invalid/corrupt and to re-install the application.
I had to complete uninstall EMC 9 in order to get BackupMyPC working again.
Has anyone else had problem s with this update?

Do you have Vista? I believe the BackupMyPC patch is for Vista only.
Where did you get the '7.1.0 update' from?

I think you're right TOTG.If that was the update from the home page it was intended for Vista users.BUMP was not included in V9.1 and this was put up so that 9.1 users could have it.

No I don't have Vista, Windows XP.
As for where did I get the update, I was on the Welcome Page for EMC 9 and clicked the update tab.
It brought up a window that said there was an update for BackupMyPC for EMC.
Clickec on that and it let me download BUMP 7.1.0.
It didn't say anything that it was an update for Vista.
I would have thought the installer would have checked/complainted that I wasn't running Vista.

The version on the home page was the same version that came in 9.0.The thing is it was not included in 9.1 because of certification issues. It was put up to satisfy the people that bought 9.1 and complained that it wasn't there.I'm not sure why you had a problem because all you did was install the same version you already had.
