What type of disc? I thought Scan Disk was for hard drives. Don't think Roxio has anything like that. EMC 9 includes DVDInfoPro which can scan a CD or DVD for errors.
Scan Disk should still be there. OPen My Computer. RIGHT click on a drive and choose PROPERTIES. Click on TOOLS TAB. Error-checking is Scan Disk.

Scan Disk is not there anymore :-( but I found DVD Info Pro in roxio, but it is very slow :-( Scan Disk was much faster.

Scandisk as a DOS command hasn't been around since Windows 9x (the equivalent on XP is Chkdsk)
However the spelling (with a 'k') says it is for magnetic media - the convention is that magnetic is spelt disk and optical is disc
There is a 'verify' option in the burning apps - it will check the disc against the original after burning (although I have to admit that I keep it turned off) After all, all it will tell you is that your disc either works or it doesn't

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Thanks, but when I use a dvd-rw as a harddisk to burn and delete without format the disc everytime. Then I need to scan the dvd, because sometimes it make an error.
1. Click on My Computer
2. Right click on the dvd drive.
3. Select Properties
4. Click on the Tools tab
5. Under Error Checking.... Click Check Now
6. Tick the options that you require
6. Click Start
But it is not there anymore :-( The only thing I have done since I last had it was deleting roxio 8 and install roxio 9.

Of course there is no such thing as "use a dvd-rw as a harddisk"… What you have been misleading us with is that you are using Drag to Disc!
Of course prior versions of D2D/DCD had a 'Scan Disc' program included. (note the disc)
V9 D2D does not have this, I assume they felt it was not needed.
D2D is a packet writer and through time all packet writers have proven themselves to be the most unreliable form of burning ever devised!!!
You have already proven this to yourself by the errors you have encountered in the past. Now you only need to apply the logic that should follow your experience – Stop using it and shift to Sessions with Classic!
