I added files to a new project about a week ago. Now I am trying to add more DVD clips from my camera to my existing project(that has plenty of room left to add to) and everytime I click on "add files", the program shuts down. I can still edit the clips from my existing files that I have saved on this project but cannot add any more to it. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to add more files to my project without the Roxio MyDVD shutting down?? I have even tried getting the files from the camera and from the DVD that is was finalized on.

Open the program then click on Help – About and tell us the full version number. We need to know that as there is no such thing as MyDVD in Version 6.
While there, start a New Project and attempt to add one of the new files. What happens?

The full version number is 6.1.4.
I opened a new project and tried to add files and it closed down again. I get an error message that says "Sonic MyDVD has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

James - I think this is in the wrong forum - the OP is talking about Sonic MyDVD 6 and not ECD 6
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I think you are correct, I'll move it.
Don't know much about Sonic, but I think a Repair from Add/Remove Programs would be in order.
