Hello-
I am having several problems burning Lightscribe disks.
I have had 2 work on me.
Am I supposed to use the label creator or the disk labeling thing in ECM9???
I have tried to use the one (Label Creator) that worked the first time and now it will not work.
Last night it said it was burning a picture and it would take 2 hours. When it completed the process after 2:20 minutes there was nothing on the front of the disk.

ALso, I often get an error message when I go to File>Print that says there are no printers installed on my computer?? Isn't it supposed to find my DVD burner drive. Im so confused because it's already worked for me and now it will not. GRRRR.

I am using EMC9; MadDog lightscribe 18X burner; Lightscribe Software (that came with my burner) and TDK DVD+R Lighscribe disks.

Thanks!!!
Emily

Try going to LightScribes website and downloading and installing the latest System software from them.It now also includes the Contrast Utility.
Once the LightScribe software is installed then in Label Creator a drive should be available to print to.I'd have to be at my home system to tell you exactly how and where but I'm not there right now.The best place to start though is with the latest software.

Hello-
I have tried grabbing the latest lightscribe software. I see my drive when I go to my computer and I have been able to burn DVD's using it...it's the lightscribe that is not working and it's giving me those problems....no printer found and if I get past that....it will say it's burning and then not burn anything.

: (

I just want to be done with this project!!!

...same thing happening with me...

The ECM9 Label Creator worked 3x's and then sent a message this morning stating that it was burning a picture on the disk. After 15 minutes, ECM9 ejected the disk with a blank image. When I tried to put in another disk, it then gave me an error message stating that I inserted the incorrect media.

The setup (purchased 06/2007):
HP Pavilion Slimline
Windows Vista Business
Asus DRW-1612BLT ATA Device
ECM 9
HP DVD+R 16x LightScribe Disks

PS And this was AFTER I had THIS issue...

Open DVDInfo Pro in EMC 9 tools, click the media icon. How does it identify the disc? See if the media is actually made by CMC Magnetics which is known to pump out cheap, unreliable & low quality media.
