Hi @ll,
I am currently trying to convert videos of Microsoft Technical Webcasts into iPod format using EMC 9.0 Disc Copier application.
I am using EMC 9.0 running on Vista Home Premium.
Webcasts are downloadable as .WMV files. However, when I initiate the conversation process in the Disc Copier, the progress bar stays at 0% for ever - I have waited for 1.5 hours but nothing has happened. WMV file size is also quite small approx. 10 MB so it should not take too long.
Has anyone see this problem before? Any suggestions or recommended fix?
Please note, this issue is happening with all the webcasts on Microsoft website in .WMV format.
Also, is there any log file where I can review the progress and/or details of the video conversion process and any relevant issues? Any information on its Filename and its location would be great.
Thanks in advance,
SF

Not sure in Vista, but i know in other OS's, the 0% progress is fixed by updating your video card drivers.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for your reply.
I am already using the latest driver for my video card which is ATI Radeon X1300PRO. Therefore updating a video card driver does not seem an option in this particular case.
Any other thoughts?
Thanks.

If you already have the latest drivers installed, uninstall them, reboot, then install them again. That should get rid of the 0% progress you're seeing.
