I am having issues when I try and burn AVI files to DVD. The sound will be delayed on the disc. I go back and check the file itself in Windows Media and it works fine. I have Divx, so the codecs are correct but it doesnt work on the DVD. Can anyone offer any advice on the subject?

Are you converting them to DVD in MyDVD are burning them direct to disc to play on a divx player? I've sometimes found that fast forwarding my divx dvd's causing audio sync but if I start from the beginning, it does not. I'm not sure if that's the players problem or the way it was burned to disc.

Actually i have been going to video out of the main menu then to convert video and I select video compilation then add files then navigate to the avi file that I want to burn and start the process. For a 700 meg movie it takes about 3 hrs or so. The reason I use this option is because before I bought Roxio 9 suite I had Easy DVD copy and that is the same menu I was used to using with that program. I was wrong about the previous post. The sound is actually ahead of the video about 2 seconds or so. This didnt start happening until I uninstalled Easy DVD and installed the Roxio 9.

You might want to try DvixDVD's in the Home menu. It's done at lower bitrates but I've found it to be a bit faster and not a bad final quality. It might be worth trying out to see if that works better for you.

Ok I tried to burn the movie using the divx dvd option and the results are the same. I am almost ready to uninstall this Roxio 9 and go back to my Roxio Easy DVD. I am trying with another movie now to see if it is maybe a problem with that specific file. Could it be a problem with the graphics card not getting enough resources to keep up with the rest? If so, will installing more RAM be the answer? I have 1 g of DDR2 pc 4300 installed now. I thought about that, but when I was using the Easy DVD there were no issues. I am about ready to pull hair out now. To troubleshoot this issue takes a lot of time, because it takes the movie 3 hours to burn. Anything else you can recomend at this point?

Did you try cutting the video into smaller sections each a few minutes long (5ish)?
I'm not sure if it'll help you but other users have mentioned that this method helps fix audio sync problems.
