Hello All,
I am trying to convert Hi8 camcorder tapes to mpeg format using Roxio Media Capture v9. My camcorder is old but it has an S-Video and C-Video outputs. I've done this before and it has worked fine with the dazzle device that came along with the computer and it has worked fine. Now the problem is when I try to capture I am getting no video on the computer, but the camcorder is working fine. Should I try to make a few tweaks in the settings on the camcorder or could this be a bug on my computer.

Thanks...

How is the camcorder connected to your computer?  If it is a capture card, you may be better off using the software that came with the card, then take the capture into VideoWave for editing.

"I've done this before and it has worked fine."

When you say you have done that before and it worked fine, are you saying it worked fine in EMC 9 ? or maybe someother program ? Usually to capture video and audio from a camcorder in EMC, you need to capture with a firewire (IEEE1394) cable. That gives you and avi file to work with.

If not, Bruce is right. You need to capture with the program that came with your camcorder or capture card program --if any.
