I have noticed recently that whenever I open a folder on my CD disc several of the 20 plus jpg files in the folder do not open. All other jpg files open. The files are represented by an icon and the file is described in the lower left hand of the screen - the size, dimensions and date modified are shown but no picture comes up on the screen.
In all cases the files have been opened and modified previously without any difficulties as have the other files in the folder. The problem files don't seem to have anything in common.

Here is a whole list of possibilities.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
