I am getting an error message as follows every time WXP boots:

---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!

Program: ...es\Common Files\Roxio Shared\SharedCOM8\RoxWatchTray.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

It does not go away even after I disabled startup for RoxWatchTray.exe by using msconfig. sad.gif

Please anyone help me.

Thanks for your reply.  I tried the link but it got me nowhere. Maybe the link is incorrect or mistyped. Is it MS KB?

No it's a Roxio KB article. Could be the KB server is down at the moment. Maybe try it again a little later.

Norton Removal Tool!!!   This is the culprit.  It is an utility software to uninstall all kinds of Symantec softwares and can be downloaded free from Symantec website.  I restored a backup of the OS and did one by one what I did since then and hit the above.
