I am getting the message "Videowave 9 has stopped working" when doing trivial things like adding a transition after a new photo that I have inserted. My only choice is to close the program. I can replace all of the tranitions without failing, but just trying to add one new one causes a crash.

I have had this same error while doing other activities also. I am running EMC 9 Suite (V 9.0.088) on a 2GB RAM dual Core processor PC running Vista Home Premium. Are there some updates to EMC 9 for Vista? Whenever I "look" for updates it says the "Flexnet server is not available".

Thanks for any ideas.
Tom

This is an update to version 9.1 which will help with Vista.  This update is due soon, exact date unknown.

First off, after you have added all your photos (I assume you are working in Videowave), then click on Add Transition Theme from the side menu options and choose which type of transitions you want to add between all the photos, from the list.

After that if you want to change a particular transition that has been entered between the photos, then right click on that particular transition and then click on Add Transition from the side menu options. That will get you a screen where you can pick a different transition to use then a screen that asks if you want to replace that existing transition.

Not sure that is exactly what you are doing but hope that helps.

That's what I have been trying. When I click on OK to add the transition, I get the "Videowave 9 has stopped working" message and an option to "Close the Program"

Thanks for the idea, but it didn't help. Add/Replace a single transition still cause the program to fail. Whether I use hardware or siftware rendering doesn't seem to make a difference. As I mentioned before, I can replace all of the transitions, but not just one of them.

I have the very same problem. Hope someone can come up with an answer. I have written Roxio but have not heard from them yet. This problem really becomes very frustrating!

Are you still having this problem? I was able to correct mine by doing a clean uninstall. Instructions for Vista are at http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/000127CR

The only problem I had after following the directions was that my CD code would not be accepted. I wrote Rixio support and they sent me a "unlock cd code" that worked.

I have just burned a DVD with video clips and stills. I was able to change transitions between slides and video without a problem. The results looked great on my HDTV. I just had a Panasonic digital camera and was real pleased with the results.

Hope you can get yours to work.
