I am assuming that someone from Roxio drops in and takes a look at the general discussions, I was hoping to find a user's manual for the Creator Basic v9, oem software bundle on a compaq presario with Vista Home Premium. I am getting an error when trying to burn to disk, and the disk ejects, media, DVD, or data.
With an ATAPI ATA DVD device, I forget exactly what it says, but it basically refuses the disk because it has not been properly formatted or is the wrong type of disc, it does not recognize the type of disc, even though it is. DVD RW + or- or, DVD + or DVD-. I am able to burn music CD's using the Napster Burn engine, but not Roxio.
  Any help would be appreciated

There is no manual for an OEM version (support is supposed to come from the OEM (in your case, from Compaq). Actually, OEM versions of s/w never do come with manuals as a general rule

The manual for the full version is available here

As for the drive/disc [problem, we'd need a bit more information: what make and model of drive, what part of the program you're using, etc)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
