Created a Data DVD with pictures and some video files. The first couple of times I poped the DVD into my computer I could access the files just fine. Now all of a sudden the disc will not open. I hear the DVD drive spinning trying to find a start point but eventually it stops. I've tried many Data Recovery tools with the same result. Help please. Used Roxio 9, Home, Data, Data Disc, program.

Thanks!

Sounds like it is a goner… You did not specify which "recovery tools" you tried but with negative results it does not look too good!

The quality of media can be a factor. I have never had a problem with Verbatim but have with other brands.

Yea James I kinda suspected the Media also. It was a brand called BeAll. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia/beall-dv...all-g00001-1/55     Here is a link to hear what others say about it. I guess I'm not alone, just lost hundreds of pics I'll never get back.

Two of the better recovery programs you can download a trial version of are:

CD Roller

Isobuster

If you haven't used them, give them a try before you give up.
