I am sure other people using Vista have had a bad case of the changing icons, but in my case it is the sad case of a disappearing programme.

The Roxio Creator 9 icon on my brand new out of the box Vista was there when I started using the pc and then, this morning, when I started up there appeared to be just a file icon.

When I clicked on it I got:

C://Program Files/Common Files/Roxio Shared/9.0/Roxio Central33/Main/Roxio_Central33.exe

Any ideas as to why this should happen on a programme I have not yet used?

I tried a system restore and, although the file icon changed to another icon, my Roxio Creator 9 has totally disappeared.

I have solved this issue myself.

I put the computer back to manufacturers settings and the CD Creator has been reinstalled on my pc.

Thanks for posting the solution.  Often we find that people don't reply back when something works and we never know for sure what fixed the issue.
