Hard to tell. Are you burning direct to disc? If so, try burning to an image file. Make sure you've got updated video drivers as well as DirectX.

Thanks. I'm trying to burn from the MyDVD 9 application (The burn icon on the top right). I just checked my video drivers and they're up to date, now I'll go check Direct X

You did go to the manufacturers web site for the video drivers, right.

<sigh>
For some reason I couldn't d/l the newest version of DirectX (not sure if needed it or not....my computer's only 6months old). I kept getting a message saying "check network connections or try again"
I snooped around a little on these forums and found someone else had this problem and someone recommended running Easy Creator from Start --> Progams instead of using the desktop shortcut. Well I tried it and it worked. If it works everytime I can live with that.

Is this still working for you, I had the same problem and found ts work around although I am stuck with 2 seconds which I woulf like to solve. see attached.
I have just spent 4 days and bought a new video card (nvidia fx 5500) trying solve this problem.
In the end it had nothing to do with dx9 compatibility nor drivers, nor defragging, what a waste of time and money that was.
Anyway after going back to basics and trying to do a a 4 slide slide show with no sound no nothing I found out that anything greater than a 2 second delay between transitions (using dissolve, no pan and no zoom), would cause this problem. I did for a while think that an mp3 sound file (background sound)was the problem but I have not had a chance to go back and see if adding that will also cause a problem.
So thare you go hope it helps

You need to lengthen the duration of the slides if you want longer transitions. As a rule of thumb, the slide duration should exceed half the sum of the durations on each side of it. The default slide duration is about 5 seconds, so that would limit the transition to about 2+ seconds. The reason is simple: the transition (say dissolve) starts the next slide before the first one has finished, so the transition duration is not added time between slides, but rather determines the overlap between slides, thus shortening the total time the slide show takes.
Example: 15 slides of 10 secod duration: time for slide show is about 150 seconds
Insert 1 second dissolve transition between slides: time for slide show is reduced to about 135 seconds.
Inser 2 second transitions between slides: time for slide show is reduced to about 121 seconds
