When I use Videowave, and select Add Photo/Video, after a couple of seconds the error below appears:

Microsoft C++ Runtime Library

Program:...oxio Easy Media Creator 9 Suite\VideoUI9\VideoWave9.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

There is one article about this in the Roxio support data base

http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/WinOnCD/000...R?set-locale=en

I don't know if it will do any good, but you can but try.

Do you Macafee security apps installed? Apparently some versions of that cause C++ runtime errors to occur with other software, though I haven't seen Roxio software mentioned among them.

My problem was solved.  There was a lnk file in my documents folder that was invalid. When videowave opened the dialog to let me pick the video file to add, the Open file windows component would try to extract and display the icons for the applications in the folder and would fail with that error.  I created a directory called bob, moved everything from my document directory into it.  I then tried videowave with the empty document folder and it worked.  I then brought the subdirectories back into documents one at a time, trying videowave after each, and it worked.  I then took the files that were in the root directory of documents one at a time until videwave crashed.  When I found the file, I move it to the recycle bin, and videowave was happy.  I then took the file from the recycle bin back to the desktop, and videwave crashed again.  I recycled the file and have not had a problem since.  The file was a link leading to a VPN connection that no longer exists.
