I am new to this so bear with me. I captured about an hour of video from my Sony DV camera using DV avi format. I tried both manual and SmartScan. In either case the video plays for about 1 sec then jumps to hyperspeed and plays the hour in about 2 minutes. In another post, someone suggested Gspot to check for the right codecs. Tried that. Says it has the right codecs. Tried to play it on their player and it did the same thing. So far, it plays at high speed on WMP, RealPlayer and DirectShow.

It seemed to capture at normal speed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In addition, I captured about 15 minutes of video from old analog tapes played on the same camera that the avi files play just fine.
