Since installing EMC9, I am having problems ejecting CD-RW. Symptoms present themselves as follows:
Insert blank CD-RW
Format in D2D.
Copy a test text file to the CD-RW.
Able to read files on CD-RW and add any number of additional files succesfully.
Always able to succesfully eject CD-RW up to this point.
Open CD-RW in Windows Exploer and delete any single file.
From that point onward, I am no longer able to eject the CD-RW by any means (tried D2D Eject, Windows Explorer Eject, drive eject button.) Always get "Recorder is Busy" message.
Only way to eject CD is to reboot and push drive eject button during shutdown process or after reboot.
I've already tried the following:
Complete Uninstall of Roxio per the Knowledge Base "Clean Installation of EMC" article, and reinstall.
Uninstall of CD driver and reboot allowing windows to reinstall driver.
Selectively disabling various services.
Seems I'm not the only one suffering from Recorder is Busy problems with EMC9 and D2D

Help! Really need to get D2D back to working as I use and depend on it a lot. Have never had any problems with D2D in the past. Drive firmware is up to date.

Usually a firmware update for the burner is needed to cure this message.

One caution. D2D is a packet writer and like all packet writers, is the least reliable form of burning ever devised! It is not for "backups", "archives" or writing anything you value!!!

It is fine for moving files from one PC to another where no other transfer method exists. Beyond that, it is high, very high, risk!

Those that claim, 'never had a problem', just haven't used it long enough. When you lose everything on a disc, you will understand what the rest of us have already found out…
