I have an Audiophile 2496 sound card and want to record from my stereo.  The program gives no options in the "Capture From" box.  How do I get the program to recogize and record from my sound card?

I know that other people that have M audio cards have had trouble.  I think that the problem is the bit rate (24bit/96 KB rate) and/or the capture options.  The program uses 16 bit so that cards like those that will do both 24 and 16 bit work well (like Audigy).; cards that do only 24 don't work.

Search this site for other threads on this issue but I don't remember if anyone was able to use that card or any other M audio card.  I think the suggestion was to use the software that came with the card, or something like Goldwave.  There are other programs that will also work.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
