Hi,

I am trying to get into mydvd 9 or mydvd express for the first time on EMC 9, and get the same message.  "The following codec(s) must be activated before using this application:  MPEG-2" It has a click ok button to activate, but when I click ok it goes to another screen and I get error messages that an error occured in script on the page.  This happens 2 different times, if I click yes or no on the box, it brings me to another box that has nothing on it but 2 arrows and 5 boxes that looks like you need to insert the cd key.  Trying to insert the cd key, nothing happens.  Clicking on one of the arrows, it closes the program, the other arrow brings up the print screen.  I have tried to get thru to service, but no response yet.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I tried doing the the things in the article and I cant get that far.  I dont have an option to activate offline.  I get the codec screen, then a internet script error screen before I get to the activation window.  It comes up with having an error on line 924 char 2 and "object doesnt support this character or method" It gives me yes or no buttons to click, but with either one, it sends me to a blank screen with 5 areas to put in information, but no instructions.

I have the same problem Bethany, and I too do not know where the 'offline product activation' screen is or how to access it. EMC help is all but useless, as is unfortunately Roxanne!
