I'm using Easy Creator 9 and when I try to print a Lightscribe label it hangs up.
It does the same with Sure Thing (trial program I just downloaded hoping it would work)
and also Sonic which was already on my computer.  A dialog box says the disc in the drive is not recognizable.  I have tried Memorex and HP Lightscribe discs.  Neither work.  I have downloaded vaious patches mentioned on this Board plus the Oightscribe Update.  Still hangs.  Any suggestions.  I love Roxio and have used it for years and don't want to give it up if I can just get this fixed.

If three different programs are failing to work it's time to start thinking outside the box.

Have you tried the lightscribe s/w itself? - if that still fails, then it's probably not a software problem

Did you install Internet Explorer 7 on your computer? If so, roll back to IE6 (just uninstall IE7 from add/remove programs) You might have to do a repair install of EMC7 afterwards
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I agree - but can you think of anything else?

Or have you found a magic way to get EMC7 to work with it? If so, please do impart HOW

Did you try removing IE7 to see if that helps - it does have some strange effects.

Just an off-the-wall thought - you're trying to print it onto a lightscribe CD or DVD, right - using the laser in the optical drive?  an not to paper ...  huh.gif

Two,
1. Open DVDInfo Pro with a disc in the drive and list the media ID for the disc.
2.What is the ID string for the drive in this HP m7570n
pc? To find the drives ID go here post # 4, item # 3.
