Hi,
On my G4 laptop I was (still am) able to drag songs from iTunes play list to Toast and Toast sees them as MP-3 files to burn to a disk (they are MP3 files, so this is expected).  I can create folders for the music which I like to do to make MP3 CDs for the car.  On my MacBookPro when I try to do the same thing, some of the files are seen as MP3 and some are seen as text, even though they have the ".mp3" in the file name.  Can be from the same album or across several.

Anyone know what is with this?  Is it a fluke that I can drag these files from iTunes to Toast? (was the SW not meant to be used in this way?)  I only do this as it gives me a much better idea of how much of a CD/DVD I've filled up and it will let me do the folder thing.

Thanks in advance.

Toast 7 and 8 are designed to easily use the Toast Media Browser to transfer playlists from iTunes. Is this how you are doing it?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Back on the G4, I just dragged the songs from the playlist window to the Toast window and it worked.  So I will try the Media Browser, I'm not familiar with this but I will figure it out.  Thanks.

Okay, so I went to the media browser and it does not see any of my music or my playlist.  Suggestions

That probably is because your iTunes music folder isn't in its default location of the Music folder on your startup hard drive. Try creating an alias of the iTunes music folder and placing the alias in your Music folder. Delete the "alias" from the folder name. Then reopen Toast.

Nope, it doesn't work.  I did make the alias and put it in the music folder.  Not sure where Toast is looking.  The playlists are the default ones not anything like what I have.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks

I believe Toast reads the iTunes Music Library.xml file that is in the iTunes folder in the Music folder. The fact the Media Browser is listing anything suggests that it is finding such a file. You might try trashing and reinstalling the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder.

This does not work.  I've moved over to Leopard and I still have the same problem.  The photos I can see but Toast is not seeing my iTunes library.  Anyone have any suggestions out there?

Thanks
