I ran into problems after months of running EMC9 sucsessful, and thought I'd share my experience in hopes that it may solve someone elses issue. I worked on this off and on for a week until I found the resolution discribed below.
Issue: DiskCopier9 crashes on startup, OR, when adding disc image or video folder.
Cause: Something in the folder that Media Selctor is attempting to open is causing DiscCopier9 to crash.
Resolution: I moved all content of the folder Media Selector was attempting to open into another folder named TEMP. DiscCopier then open Media Selector okay. When I browsed to the TEMP folder I had previously moved the files into, DiscCopier crashed - confirming that it's a file/folder that is causing the issue. Inspecting the folders, I found that there was a video folder with strnage characters in the folder name, and was read-only (not sure if that mattered). Changing the name did not help. But deleting the offending folder resolved the issue. I was then able to browse & open other folders and disc images sucsessfully. No further crashes!

Thanks for sharing that, but it was obviously a problem with however the files were created, and not a Roxio problem.
Good to hear you found your solution. Hopefully your post will help someone else with the same problem.
Life is good!
