I currently have v6 and interested in converting downloaded TiVO files (programs) to CD for sharing. Will V.9 do this for me.

Yes, if you mean DVD.

From the KB article:

These applications currently support TiVo files:
  • Easy Media Creator 8 and higher
  • Toast 8 Titanium
  • VideoWave 8
  • MyDVD 8 Premiere and higher
  • Digital Studio Deluxe and Deluxe Suite
  • MyDVD 6 Studio Deluxe and Deluxe Suite

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
