I've had so many issues with Roxio I don't know why I even bother to go this far.  It amazes me that they will not reply to help tickets but instead have forums for users to help other users with problems.  Very irresponsible if you ask me.  If I can't get a quick solution to this I'm uninstalling Roxio and going back to Nero.  At least they're user friendly.

I had to install the patch to make this program work with Mediaplayer 11.  Now, when I try to open my Roxio burning program, a window opens with the title "Roxio Creator Plus Dell Edition" but it's only the frame of the window.  Everything on the inside looks like a screen capture of whatever window was open behind it.

Any clues?

Thanks.

What patch are you talking about?

As far as I know, the only patch that was issues was one to fix a Dell problem - but that had nothing to do with WMP11, but was regarding DLA on Vista

When I tried to open my burning program I got error messages about "Mediahub.exe - Application Error".  I went to the live online help at Roxio and the "person" gave me a link which said it was an issue with Dells running Windows Media Player 11.  The link had a patch.  It was supposed to fix the error.  Now, when I open the program, all it shows is the frame of the program window.  If I drag the window over on my desktop it holds the background image inside that window, like a screen capture.

When I put my cursor over the window, sometimes the arrow will turn into a hand.  When I click it brings me to the Roxio website and offers me an upgrade to this already smoothly-operating program.  Roxio's tech support has done nothing to help me after 3 days of emails to them.

Oh, and I'm running Windows XP.  I won't touch Vista until SP1 comes out.

As I said - it's a patch I haven't come across - but then I don't run Vista or any Vista backports either (and that includes WMP11 and IE7 - both those are Vista apps backported to XP)

From another thread:

Just for the record, i see Microsoft just released an updated Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP released (13/3/07)

Found here:

Maybe this might have compatability issues fixed in it, im not testing it though"

Please post your computer specs especially your video card/chip.  It sounds like your computer is having trouble loading the program and your video set up may not be able to handle some of the graphics.  Have you updated your graphics drivers from the manufacturer lately?  How about DirectX 9c?

When you installed the program, did you have your anti-virus running?  That will screw up an install.  Do you have any other programs of this sort on your computer other than Nero?

May sure you have removed InCD and any other packet writing programs
