angry.gif I tried to upgrade my Roxio 8XE to 9 XE. I downlaodtg the file and then when I tried to install the 9 XE, it deleted the old 8 XE version and it never worked. Now I can't even reisntall my old 8 XE from the CD as it gives me an error for some file that I can not find and it asks for inserting a disk at the end of installation. Well the CD is in the drive and if I clik on cancel it cancels all the install operations. If I click OK it just keep asking to insert a disk!
Tried repatedly to remove these programs, clean out whatever I could but no luck. Roxio help center has not been offering any solutions either,

Has anybody seen this problem and has a suggestion, beside buying someone elses' SW?

Well, the "8XE" versions are OEM ones that typically come with a drive or system. Most that have posted here got it with a MadDog burner.

Where did you get the "9XE Upgrade" from? If it wasn't directly from Roxio or Sonic, you may want to ask whoever supplied it to you.

In the meantime, you could try a clean install using the following directions. Maybe just try installing the 9 one only.
