Adding movies help

When i click the add movies it won't allow me to add the movies i want to add. sorry if this has been asked and answered before

More information is needed please.  Exactly, what are you doing and what, if any, error messages are you getting?  
Please also post info about your computer.

im not getting an error message, when i go to the open file window it doesn't allow my files to be opened.


i have a windows vista

You're still not supplying any information. You're being very vague and non-specific.
What application are you in when you try to "add movies"? (EMC contains 30 + applications)
What type of files are you trying to add?
etc
etc

Also, as requested already, list your system specs please.

It seems like these could be divx or xvid files.  If so, this post may help you.

im trying to create a dvd with "dora the explorer"  and it isn't allowing me to open/add them when im trying to sorry if im being vague. the files are avi

If the files you're using are copy protected, then they can't be used in EMC.

If you bought them, or if you rented them, they are copy protected.  Commercial movies are protected.
