I am new to Toast 7, and while I've successfully created a DVD without a menu by importing the TS_Video folder from DVD Studio Pro, I'm' now trying to do the same thing with a menu DVD. Toast rejected, I think it was, 22 files, which I understand it's supposed to do to some extent. But apparently it rejected some needed files, because the resulting DVD menu wasn't active. You can play the clips themselves, but you can't navigate through the menu, nor do the segment headings highlight.

Suggestions? Can I import the files one at a time instead of importing the entire TS_Video folder? Are there preference settings I can be working with? Or, am I restricted to building the menu in DVD Studio Pro by certain methods and not others?

I want to use Toast specifically because it allows me to control the burn speed; I can encode this video from DVD Studio Pro, but get problems with the video freezing in certain spots on certain DVD players, apparently because the burn speed is too high (based on testing and tips in other posts).

Thanks,
Steve S.

Select "DVD video from VIDEO_TS" as the format in the Toast Video window and then choose your VIDEO_TS folder. The method you were using has Toast authoring a new VIDEO_TS folder rather than using the one authored by DVD SP.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
