80004003 Error while Aborting

Failed to start the image writing operation Error while Burning Image 80004003 Error while  Aborting

I've tryed just about evrything listed in the fourm, except asking for help. rolleyes.gif

Well I was going to post image of what the disc and divice utility and discinfo pro showed but i no loger have a web site.

I wonder if this maybe my problem. It's 2002 model

Your graphics could be the problem - 64 MB sounds like shared RAM (I don't know if that's a laptop)

If it is a desktop, consider getting a dedicated graphics card instead of the onboard one.

Drivers for the GeForce 4 chipset btw are here and I think more up to date than the ones you are using.

I've allready downloaded that driver, This is a desktop and i will check in to getting a seperate bord.

I also get these two errors when I try and copy an image:

E: HP DVD Writer 200j ("Power calibration area error - Medium erroe." [03/73/03])

E: HP DVD Writer 200j ("Invalid feild in CDB - Illequest."[05/24/00])

Power calibration can be one of a number of things

Poor quality media
Dirty lens
or worst of all - the drive is about to pack in completely

Check here for more info than you'd really want to know

Thanks for the research I'll see if it cleans up. if not i'll replace it then go from there.

smile.gif The problem is fixed I went and purchased an external DVD Writer.

HP dvd 1040e 20X Multiformat DVD Writer.
Double Layer recording.
Light-Scribe direct disc labeling.

I believe the it was a format issue with the older dvd not being able to write to the dvd's that my wife got!
